About Andrew

A background in theatre and media production, I started working for creative communications agencies in the early 1990s as a scriptwriter and producer of videos and corporate events.

By the late 1990s I was Director of Production at Clearwater Communications with creative responsibility for all projects. I had also spent three years studying for my MBA at Henley Management College.

In 1999 I started my own agency, Clarity Communication, fusing creativity and business objectives to help clients navigate through their change programmes with clear and engaging narratives.

Clients at this time included: John Lewis, who were embarking on their biggest ever programme of change; Pearson plc, who were uniting their businesses: Penguin, the Financial Times and Pearson Education, through shared values and common goals; PepsiCo, who were undergoing a programme of mergers and acquisitions; as well as many others.

By 2007 my interest in the environment and sustainability led to studying Sustainability Management at University of Cambridge and Environmental Science at Exeter University. I then had the pleasure of working with numerous clients to develop and embed their own sustainability policies – which is very similar to any change programme.

In recent years I have started coaching young executives, developing and writing content for leadership programmes including for the business school, Duke CE, and I continue to work with organisations to bring clarity to their messaging.

I have written extensively for magazines and the trade press on a wide range of subjects including: sustainability, leadership, documentary photography and whisky.
